Wild Oasis & Treetop Drop

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay invites explorers of all ages into Wild Oasis, a kid-friendly adventure realm built to entertain and inspire. Its centerpiece is Treetop Drop, a family drop tower refreshed with two massive LED screens that show one of three randomized animal stories (a Harpy Eagle, a Jaguar, or a troop of Monkeys), synced to the motion of the gondola.

I led the visual media and audio creative direction for all three ride sequences, working closely with the park's animal experts to keep every stylized motion grounded in something real. Every wing beat and pounce was timed to the tower's actual drops and climbs, reviewed against POV mockups inside a 3D model of the space long before we ever saw it built.

Beyond the ride itself, I directed the realm's sensory identity, guiding an original musical theme and sound design that plays throughout the walkways and adapts dynamically to each animal's story, carrying that same energy from the queue to the splash pad so the whole land feels like one continuous idea rather than a ride bolted onto a path.
